November 17, 2009 by: American Citizen Services

irs_logo_5Here’s a Tip from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). The IRS will never send you an unexpected email about your taxes or a refund. If you get one, there’s one thing you can count on. It’s a scam. Everyday, crooks come up with new ways to steal your identity and other personal information. Scammers may even call you or show up at your door. Don’t be a victim. Never give your personal information to anyone you don’t know. Learn more about the latest scams and how to protect yourself at IRS.gov.

  1. Not suer if this is the right place for this question. My son (Born in UK, US citizen due to mother being American) is 18 and has gone to USA to work at a ski resort this winter. How does he file a tax return? What form? He does not really have a permanent residence other than home (in London) but hope to stay in USA for the summer season too. Can you refer me to the relevant rules on this?

  2. American Citizen Services says:

Your son should contact his nearest IRS office in the U.S. with questions regarding U.S. taxes.
