Visa Applicants Resident in the United States

A visa applicant must be physically present in Great Britain to apply for a visa at this Embassy. Applicants aged 14 to 79 are required to appear in person for an interview with a U.S. consular officer. While applicants under the age of 14 and those aged 80 and over may be eligible to apply for a visa by mail, they must be physically present in the United Kingdom when applying for the visa.

Note: If you are reapplying for a visa you will be required to follow the same procedures as for the initial application. You will be required to appear in person before a consular officer if aged 14 to 79 and complete all relevant visa application forms, furnish all requested documents and pay all applicable fees.
