Preparing for the Visa Interview

Confirmation of Appointment

You will receive written confirmation of the date and time of the scheduled appointment and the receipt for the MRV application. You must bring the Nonimmigrant Visa Interview Confirmation letter and MRV Fee receipt with you for presentation to the security guards at the gate. Check the date and time. Please, therefore, do not arrive at the Embassy more than 30 minutes before the scheduled appointment time.

Access to the Embassy

Only applicants with a scheduled appointment will be admitted into the Embassy. The exception being children under the age of 18 accompanied by a parent, translators and assistants for the disabled.

Forms and Fees

Failure to bring the Nonimmigrant Visa Interview Confirmation letter or MRV application fee receipt, if required, will result in the cancellation of the appointment.

Please ensure that you complete the visa application forms before the scheduled interview and that you bring all supporting documents with you on the day. Failure to do so may result in the refusal of your application.

Important Notice

We strongly advise that you do not bring large bags, such as backpacks, suitcases or packages to the interview. Liquids of any kind either in bottles, cartons or cups will not be allowed in the building. Applicants who do not follow these instructions will experience considerable delays at the security check point which could result in the interview being cancelled.
