St. Paul’s Cathedral in London to hold Memorial Service for Hurricane Katrina Victims

Hurricane Katrina was one of the worst natural disasters in the history of the United States, causing unimaginable devastation throughout the Gulf Coast Region. Many lives have been lost and many thousands of Americans are suffering great hardship. The American people are working hard to help those in need, and greatly appreciate the generous donations and offers of assistance from countries around the world, like the United Kingdom, that are pouring into the affected region.

President Bush has declared Friday, September 16, 2005 as a National Day of Prayer and Remembrance for the Victims of Hurricane Katrina. St. Paul's Cathedral in London will be hosting a memorial ceremony at 12:30 p.m. that day to honor those who died and to remember those now struggling to rebuild their lives. All are welcome.
