What We Do

The Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) has the primary responsibility for the United States Department of Agriculture's (USDA) international activities-market development, trade agreements and negotiations, and the collection and analysis of statistics and market information. FAS is one of many USDA agencies. See where FAS fits into the USDA organization on the USDA Organization Chart.

FAS has a global network of agricultural counselors, attachés, trade officers, and locally employed staff stationed in over 90 countries to support U.S. agricultural interests. More information about the work of FAS can be found at About FAS .

The principle aim of FAS London is to facilitate trade from the U.S. to the UK.

This is achieved by providing support to UK importers and buyers of American products with regard to sourcing U.S. agricultural products and tackling any related UK market access issues.

In addition, FAS London is a resource for U.S. exporters and agricultural trade associations. Depending on the product area, FAS London can provide lists of UK importers of agricultural food, fishery and forestry products, as well as other market contacts. FAS London can also assist with local knowledge of import procedures, information on market sectors and business conventions.

FAS London Market Intelligence Reports are available on the FAS Reports Database. Subjects covered include: Fresh Deciduous Fruit, Exporter Guide, Retail Sector, HRI Foodservice Sector, Wine Market, Seafood and Food & Agricultural Import Regulations (FAIRS) reports.
