The Embassy does NOT process requests for criminal history searches. However, you can request a Federal Bureau of Investigation search via the Bureau's website www.fbi.gov/hq/cjisd/fprequest.htm.
Nor does the Embassy take fingerprints in connection with such criminal record search requests. The Metropolitan Police's specialist fingerprint department in London offers a fingerprinting service for a variety of official purposes. For further information call 020 7230 1212 ext. 62099 between 7am -10am or 2pm - 4pm, Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays).
