The Centre holds a substantial collection of audio-visual materials which are issued on loan to schools and colleges, and has class sets of various Department of State International Information Programs publications. A catalog listing these materials is available. The Centre also organizes study days, conferences and workshops.

An excellent collection of early American furniture and crafts displayed in a series of rooms completely furnished in period style, together with exhibits relating to Native Americans, the West, maritime history, and other aspects of American history.
