Donations for the victims of September 11 may be made direct to a specific charity by cheque or credit card. A list of September 11 charitable organizations registered with the Internal Revenue Service may be found at

The American Embassy in London can accept donations for the State Department Relief Fund comprised of six charities:

American Red Cross
Salvation Army
Federal Employees Assistance for World Trade Center/Pentagon Fund
United Way - Washington (Pentagon)
United Way - New York (World Trade Center)


In order to contribute to these funds the Payee should be either:

State Department September 11th Relief Fund

OR

U.S. Embassy September 11th Relief Fund

You may designate one or more of the six charities in your correspondence. If no designation is made, the contribution will be prorated to all six funds. Donations of this type should be mailed addressed to:
