September 11 Remembered Grosvenor Square Remembrance Ceremony for the Victims of September 11, 2001 |

September 6, 2002 The U.S. Embassy will hold a Remembrance Ceremony in Grosvenor Square on September 11, 2002. The ceremony will include remarks from American Ambassador William S. Farish, a representative of HM Government, and Lt. Frank Dwyer of the New York Police Department. Music will be provided by the U.S. Air Force (Europe) Band and the South Wales Male Choir. Invited guests are expected to include British government representatives, members of the diplomatic corps, business leaders, members of the American community, embassy and U.S. military personnel. There will also be space available for members of the general public. The photo exhibit "After September 11th: Images from Ground Zero" will be open to the public all day. The collection of 28 photos were taken by the eminent American photographer Joel Meyerowitz, the only photographer granted unimpeded access to Ground Zero since September 11. The ceremony will start at 10 a.m. and finish at 10:30 a.m. Gates will open to the public at 8:30 a.m. |
