City Trade Associations have recommended that all those involved in the wholesale markets in London should observe two periods of one minute's silence each at 1346hrs BST and 1529hrs BST on September 11 as a mark of respect to all those who lost their lives, or loved ones, in the World Trade Centre on September 11, 2001.
The periods of silence, which will be observed simultaneously in the United States, correspond to 0846hrs EDT (when the first plane hit) and 1029hrs EDT (second tower collapse).
