PUBLIC AFFAIRS SECTION
The Cultural Office
The Cultural Office manages U.S. government-administered exchange programs, including the Fulbright scholarships. It also encourages U.S.-UK institutional linkages in the cultural and educational fields and promotes traditional and contemporary American arts and literature in the U.K.
The Cultural Office maintains U.S. Embassy London's Calendar of American Culture in the UK of upcoming American cultural events in the UK, as well as a list of UK locations or institutions with significant U.S. cultural links, called Cultural Connections.
Embassy-hosted film screenings are also managed by us.
The office also manages the Embassy's Speaker Bureau, which offers your group or school the chance to hear from Americans first-hand on the topics of interest to you.
In addition, the Cultural Office maintains a small grants program that supports cultural, artistic, academic, and other activities with a connection to American culture or values when such support is of mutual interest to both the requesting organization and the Embassy. For more information and application materials, please see our Small Grants page.
