Are you having problems completing the DS-160 form?

We are aware that applicants are experiencing problems when completing the DS-160. The Department of State is aware of the problem and are working to fix it.  In the meantime, we have been advised that refreshing the page should resolve the error and allow you to continue processing the application.

We strongly recommend that you do not wait until the day before the visa interview to complete the DS-160. Applicants who appear without having completing the form will be asked to reschedule the appointment for another day.  If you are unable to upload a photograph, you may continue without it and bring your photograph with you to the interview.

DS-160 Form – Update

As of November 1, applicants completing the DS-160 can retrieve an incomplete application even if they have not saved it to the hard drive or a disc. These changes will help those who begin an application and need to step away for further information, or those who lose their connection or the application times out on them. This option will be available for only 30 days so we recommend that you still save the DS-160 onto your hard drive or disc. You can do this by clicking on the SAVE button at the bottom of the last page of the form and following the instructions for saving the file. Read moreRead more

Answering the employment section on the DS-160

You are required to list all of your employers within the last 5 years.  Once you have added your current or most recent employer, you will see directly under that section “+Add Another”.  If you click on that, another section will open for you to complete.  You may click and add as many employers as necessary.
