I am experiencing problems in completing the DS-156 on-line. I have been told that I can complete the form at the Embassy on the day of my interview. Is that correct?
No! Applicants may not complete the visa application form DS-156 at the Embassy. If you have an appointment scheduled at the Embassy you must come to the interview prepared which means that you are required to complete all of the visa application forms, including the DS-156, ahead of time and bring the forms with you. I cannot access the DS-156; it appears to be unavailable. What can I do?
Occassionally the visa application form DS-156 cannot be accessed on-line. While the problem is temporary, it can last for up to 24 hours. As we have no idea if and when the form will be unavailable until it happens, it is important that you complete this form well in advance of the interview as it cannot be completed at the Embassy and applicants who appear without it will have their interview...
