I have just completed the DS-160 online and have received the confirmation sheet. What’s next? Do I wait for the Embassy to contact me?

What do I do about listing my employment on the DS-160? I have worked for a number of employers over the years. How do I list all of them?

You are required to list all of your employers within the last 5 years.  Once you have added your current or most recent employer, you will see directly under that section “+Add Another”.  If you click on that, another section will open for you to complete.  You may click and add as many employers as necessary.

I am trying to complete the DS-160 and I experiencing problems. It keeps timing out on me. Help!

The form will time out after approximately 20 minutes.   It is important, therefore, that you save the document and save often.  There is a “”SAVE” button at the end of each section; make sure that you press this before continuing onto a new section. If you save the document and find that you have made a mistake, you will be able to bring up the saved document, correct the error...

I am having problems loading the photographs; what do I do?

You are given only one attempt to successfully load a photograph.  If that attempt fails, you may continue completing the DS-160.  The confirmation sheet that you receive at the end will an X in the box where the photograph should appear.  This is fine.  You should bring the confirmation sheet together with a photograph taken within the last 6 months.  Detailed information on the photograph requirements...

I have read about the confirmation sheet, but cannot complete the form to know what it should look like!

What happens if I encouter a problem in completing the DS-160 and turn up for the interview without it?
