I have been reading the blogs about DV-2011. I have received an email telling me that my application to register for the last lottery has been successful. Is this genunine?
Those who regsitered for DV-2010 were notified by the Kentucky Consular Center between May and July of this year. Notification was by mail from KCC in Lexington, Kentucky and NOT email. Only those selected are notified. I have just found a website that is charging a fee to register for DV-2011. Will this increase my chances if I register through this website?
NO! There is only one official U.S. government website for the DV-Program and that is http://www.dvlottery.state.gov. There are many websites advertising their services and making claims that they can increase an applicants changes of being slected for the Program. Any intermediaries or others who offer their services or assistance to prepare DV entries do so without the authority or consent...
